Ampersand Projects collaborate with communities and artists across Birmingham and the Black Country with the goal of building meaningful connections between people and public spaces. We work to empower communities and individuals to be more creative, collaborative, build skills and share stories.

We're based in Birmingham and The Black Country, UK.

We work to improve wellbeing, develop skills and give opportunities for people to create and experience special spaces, enriching art and shared heritage. 

We also collaborate with organisations and community partners to deliver projects, events, youth development and community engagement.

Who We Are

Kate Andrews

Cultural project manager and arts marketer with twelve years experience working with arts, heritage and cultural organisations.

Kate is passionate about helping people discover new cultural experiences and has worked with organisations across the West Midlands and further afield to deliver creative arts marketing campaigns, audience development and outreach projects, festivals and events for a wide range of different audiences. 


Matt Andrews

Cultural project manager who has worked with organisations across the West Midlands and beyond to produce and manage arts and cultural activity that excites and surprises audiences.

Matt's experience encompasses project management and production for visual art, exhibitions, live music, performance, film and digital work and large-scale installations.
